Is the 14 amendment option truly off the table, though? I know Obama said it would result in jacked-up interest rates, but would it be worth it if it got rid of the debt ceiling once and for all? (the high interest rates are supposed to result from litigation uncertainty, but that assumes it would be litigated in the first place…you’d think the money men would be against that?)
