I would not discount that some of people still in the running are doing so because (1) it feeds money to a PAC that can then be routed to them, (2) because its free advertising for whatever MLM-like crap they peddle directly, (3) “Presidential Candidate” has knock-on value when negotiating speaking fees, book contracts, etc.
