If you go back far enough, all languages have borrowed, stolen, dumped on etc. on each other. I have a vague recollection of a docu on teh Beeb about linguistics which they finished off by the original words for things… Shocker when the original for hole was “kolo”, which is Finnish for hole…
Also, did you know that the Finnish word for “king”, “kuningas”, is borrowed from ancient Norse’s “Kuningaz”?
