Trump blusters about actions but I find it difficult to believe that they will take these measures. On the other hand, one should never underestimate the evil that Trump will inflict on this nation. There is nothing in the Constitution that requires electors to be selected through an election; the Constitution states

Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.

A Republican legislature could specify that a slate of Republican electors be selected regardless of the wishes of the electorate. Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan all have Republican legislatures.
