I’ve only seen and heard a bit of Glenn Beck, but from what I’ve seen he’s much more focused on values, and less on specific religious dogma. Which means I have much greater respect for him. Of all the right-wing pundits, he seems among the most affable. (Though he may have flaws I am unaware of — like I said, I’m not that familiar with him.)

If someone wants to promote excellent moral values — i.e. those values in theory promoted by Christianity and Judaism in general — I’m all for it. But if someone wants to promote or enforce specific religious beliefs and dogma, within the secular sphere — that’s where I put my foot down.

I personally favor: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful,Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent. ( Also, Be Prepared). These have always seemed a pretty decent set of values to me, and to Boy Scouts everywhere.
