The problem with modern Conservatism is that it is no longer a coherent philosophy. It’s become ‘The Opposite of What I Think Liberals Want’ for most Conservatives. Hence the opposition to a healthcare reform plan THEY DESIGNED, or the firmly entrenched denial of AGW.

When Trayvon Martin was killed, the response I saw from a number of wingers was “Dirty Harry wannabe went too far and killed a kid.”

Then Obama made his ‘my son would look like Trayvon’ comments, and the Right HAD TO side with Zimmerman, so Trayvon HAD TO become a thug who deserved it.

If nobody on the Left had made any noise, I wonder if maybe some on the right would have objected to that ridiculous, vile Photoshop? But, since someone on the left did, it now must be Defended At All Costs.
