This should dismiss the notion that uncrewed science missions are easier, less risky and more “noble” or “worthy” than crewed missions. The loss of the Hakuto lander sucks in every way. I don’t know how ispace is doing financially, but several, more than a handful, of space firms have closed their doors after a launch failure.
Well, they are less risky in that fewer human lives are at risk. I agree with the rest of your sentiment, though. Space is hard.
