Honestly one of the things that will occur, which is a sort of grim victory for me, is that people will see why I am as dedicated to this as I am.

I mean I work with this stuff every day. I read a new and very alarming paper every day on the topic. Once people begin to really perceive the actual magnitude of the problem, and just how many different interlinking systems that we rely on will shift in ways we will not like, they will at first be overwhelmed and then horrified.
