PTSD keeps one on enough of an edge with the fligh-or-fight/hypervigilance. I don’t need to add to it.

True enough. I’m young and stupid, I can get away with it. I’ve lived through two or three tornadoes already in my short lifetime.

I can ride the biggest roller coaster, but get nervous on a step ladder.

I’m getting a lot better about it, but I still get really out of sorts sometimes with certain high places. I had an interview in a mid-level skyscraper in downtown Minneapolis a couple of years ago, and I couldn’t go near the windows.
