Babylon 5 was pretty good about it.

The class of warships that Earth had in B5 were shown, initially, using rotating sections, to provide inhabitants with an acceleration to force them down to the floor rather than just float around.

Only one problem - angular momentum. Rotating mass is difficult to deal with in real life, and in fiction is pretty much ignored.

The B5 ships with their rotating sections could not have been turned in direction very easily, and trying to force the issue would probably have torn the ships apart (based upon their design and likely construction.)

Ok, ok… perhaps I’m asking for too much.
