I’m a lot more impressed by the Catholic kids of the White Rose. (I’ve taken white roses to Munich, and twisted them through the wrought-iron gate of the University.)
Oh yes. I guess one question every one of us (Germans) inevitably asks ourselves, when confronted with our country’s past is “What would I have done”? And while I’d like to pretend otherwise, I don’t think I would have had the courage those White Rose kids had; even if my political convictions were the same then as they are now (which isn’t a given, naturally).
“Gnade der spten Geburt”, we call it.

Since the Nazi era, the Italian domination of the consistories has dropped by about half, to around 30%.
It was just a stupid joke ;-)
