I live in Arizona. Wanna talk about hospitals shutting down because if they have an ER they have to treat EVERYONE. Period.

Change them to trauma centers and if you have a cold go to Walgreen’s, dammit.

That goes for citizens, too.
I’ve had the happiness of sitting in an ER waiting for stitches (decades ago) while people with a fever got triaged.

People need to be smarter than Marion Berry.

I live in Texas and we’re seeing the same thing. And it’s only going to get worse. Michael Haydon (CIA) actually listed Mexico second on his list of problem areas. The Mexican government is getting closer and closer to complete collapse, and we’ll see a flood of folks (okay, larger flood) once that happens IMHO.
