Trying to define mainstream is a pretty slippery slope in and of itself. I would not consider many of the conservative pundits mainstream GOP any more than I would consider Janine Garafolo mainstream Dem.

If there were one thing I’d want here at LGF it would be a little more self examination by supporters of both the center-left and center-right. Anti-idolitarianism should be bipartisan.
