The current GOP house has a plan to do that all over again - not taking the debate on the nuke treaty, but the enemy are not presently any one entity comparable to the USSR.

And, forgive me, but which of America’s current enemies has the potential to destroy the world a thousand times over?.

And Regan defeated the Soviets by massive unfunded spending on the Military which forced the Soviets into bankruptcy.
