I have to say, however, that the big problem at our school was not violent crime, but alcohol and drug use by some very privileged kids. None ever went to jail. All went to rehab. Some more than once. There were some attempted suicides, too — not drug related AFAIK.

Affluenza is just a fancy word for “emotionally distant, absentee rich parents” — the kind who substitute money and things for love and attention.

Wichita Kansas was, back then, almost nothing but white.
