Well I woke up in the middle of the night and the little finger on my left hand was swollen and painful like it’s sprained or broken. What did I do while I was sleeping to do that?

I wrapped a couple of band aids around it for a splint, took a Vicodin and went back to sleep.

Now I’m wondering if I should get it xrayed.

Maybe you injured it sometime yesterday and just didn’t notice at the time? I actually smashed a door against my pinky at work 20 yrs ago, and there is really nothing they can do except splint it. They’re not going to do hand surgery or anything. I learned to live with it looking crooked. It wouldn’t hurt to have your dr look at it, though and rule out an infection and put it in a little splint.
