Honestly the fucked up thing is I don’t even think they’re doing the scapegoating out of genuine hate. They’re doing it for power- that is to say the politicians- the base believes the hate which is why it succeeds.

I think we have or will soon reach the cusp of the “fear of change” wave that is going thru the nation. Honestly, those driving much of it will be too old to continue. The majority of the young’uns will not be white or christian.
