Yeah… but Congress couldn’t move on impeachment (or much of anything) until the report was finished, and the court case might drag on for a looong time.

Bullshit, Congress could have conducted a parallel investigation. They could have come to their own conclusions based on their own findings separate and apart from the Special Counsel investigation. They chose not to, because doing the actual work would be hard.

As for not subpoenaing Trump… I would have been arguing for that from day 1 if I were on the Special Counsel’s team. But if you don’t believe you’ll learn anything new, or if you believe you have enough to make your determination regarding criminal liability, I can understand not wasting judicial resources.
