speaking of language changing, I’ve been reading PG Wodenhouse lately (public domain free downloads for the win!), and its intensely hard to get used to the guys at the private schools constantly referring to their underclassman as their ‘fags’. as in “He’s Fagging for me”

(no they don’t mean the gay sense, which would almost be less jarring)
