I have heard it said that the last fiefdoms in the west exist in the courtroom of a Federal District Judge. I’ve never crossed a federal judge to test this saying, but I have heard stories that support it’s validity.

Federal judges are generally hard-nosed and know the law inside and out. Sensible lawyers have good reason to fear them. Chuck’s Missouri lawyer is not one of those lawyers.
