Except Marco Rubio is overtly obsessed with abortion and gay marriage, and he’s being presented as the face of the future for the establishment GOP, so nope.

I’m not saying there won’t still be members of the GOP who care about abortion and gay marriage, but I think if the Trump reactionaries and Carson fundamentalists leave the party/process, the reformed GOP would put less of an emphasis on those issues. Possibly. And if it did happen, someone running a campaign so focused on those issues would be less likely to gain traction.
