See, that’s the thing about our society, expertise is hard to come by and even harder to judge by those without training in the field in question.

And the last person I ever trust is a salesman. It’s not that every salesperson is actually trying to take their customer for a ride. But, and I learned this over the years from having several friends in the auto sales business - salesmen have to believe in their product to be really good at the job. And that often means they themselves can be duped, because needing to believe something is such a human trait but one which has no guarantee of truth.
