What the graphic shows is voting results in 2004, next to voting results in 2012. No gun statistics were involved in the making of this graphic.

A good tipoff is that the good statistic “low incidence of violence” is supposedly red and the bad statistic “high incidence of violence” is supposedly blue. Like anybody color codes things like that.
