Gov. Nixon could be the Grand Poobah of the Loyal Order of Water Buffaloes and he’d still be a miserable failure. His party affiliation doesn’t mean shit. He didn’t do his goddamn job today.

Neither did Roy Blunt, BTW. Look at his Twitter TL and it’s just as pathetic as Nixon’s. The only high ranking Missouri official that seemed to even give a shit was Claire McCaskill since she at least hit the phones to try and do something today.

His party affiliation does mean something, if only because many here are always quick to point out that a Republican who screws up is a Republican. Well, on this occasion its a Democrat who has blown the call, and think its important to make that clear.

To be clear, though, no one here is excusing Gov. Nixon’s failure. Even if the party label isn’t applied by some here in this case, the more important ‘MAJOR FAIL’ label is being correctly applied.
