Considering the nobility typically comprised 5-8% of the population in a lot of medieval societies, it’s sad to think we might be lagging behind.

(Yeah, yeah, apples and oranges… still the thought depresses me).

Keep in mind that the lower nobility lived considerably worse in material terms that most people today…
