Huh? Even though I am a descendant of those Protestants, I don’t think the welfare of the Jews was on their list of reasons for leaving Europe. If anything, the Pilgrims wanted to establish a stricter theocracy than the relative freedom of religion available in Holland, where they lived before crossing to America.
