Look at Trump. His mother didn’t even speak English as her first language. When we forget our own stories to push xenophobic crap, we become what our ancestors fought so strongly against. My first ancestor arrived here fleeing the chaos of the French Revolution in the early 1790’s. The latest came in 1921 in the aftermath of WWI from Slovakia. All these people. All their sacrifices are why I’m me. A multi-generational American whose ethnic background you wouldn’t know just by looking at him.

Hell, yeah. There are those of us who remember those stories vividly through three generations and vow never to become what our enemies were and are. We all stand in unity on this.
