Why the hell are fireworks and guns going off here in the Koreatown section of Los Angeles?

Probably not for the same reason fireworks are being popped off here in my east Mesa neighborhood—easy accessibility. I blame the two fireworks stands within a half-mile of my house, selling fireworks in the runup to New Year’s. I was thinking that Mary, mother of Jesus, would have grabbed a shepherd’s crook and started shouting, ” I JUST GOT HIM TO SLEEP WILL YOU CUT IT OUT?” and then walking off, muttering under her breath, “Silent Night for baby…”
