Exactly. The media bestows the term ‘czar’ because it’s shorter and snappier and sexier than saying “Administrator of X, Y, and Z, blah blah blah” or whatever the legal title is.

The only people who are ‘czars’, in the sense of bypassing Senate confirmation.not subject to subpeona, are the Special Envoy/Advisors. Last I checked Obama only had a few of those (as in, 3 or 4).

I don’t like that, but it isn’t unprecedented, and I really dislike the whole “ZOMG OBAMA IZ A SEKRIT SOCIALIZT” meme, and this whole “My God! It’s full of czars!” bullshit is more of that.
