Carpet bombing Sadr City and Fallujah wouldn’t have solved the Iraqi insurgency. It would have made it worse. Believe me, I was a SAC pilot. I studied war, intensely. I had a lot of free time while standing alert and a fairly good library. I fully understand the limitations of strategic warfare on insurgencies.

Didn’t we get all the people out of Fallujah and take out the insurgents? On the ground?
