How come you didn’t know that gunsmiths are FFL1 holders?

I did know that, since I had to choose which type to get when I got my FFL, I just flaked in formulating my argument. The work I do mostly consists of gunsmithing, so I tend to think of my FFL as a gunsmithing FFL hence the disconnect. Also, from the folks I know in the industry, most serious gunsmiths have a Type 7 FFL. There’s really no reason not to get one, ESPECIALLY SINCE THE TYPE 7 APPLICATION FEE IS LESS THAN THE TYPE 1 FEE.

And why do you keep dodging this question:

I’m not dodging it, I was ignoring it because I was focused on the other issues. Also, it seems like a vague question. To which sources, 1% and 99% are you referring? Please clarify and I’ll try to answer.
