What about something like what Mark Kirk did, that being knowingly lying directly about President Obama’s agenda? Remember, Kirk said that Obama was quaking in his boots in fear that Americans would actually experience the ACA; this is an obvious, transparent lie that Kirk, if he has a shred of intelligence, knows was a lie. Do you feel that direct lie about someone is somehow better than a false edit?

Yes, I honestly do. Because with a dishonest edit you are knowingly taking someone else’s image and voice and twisting them make them appear to be something other than they were.

The other reason is because I have occasionally in my sales career needed to resort to direct lies about product scarcity or demand (never about customer needs or product functions, though) and so I have a tolerance for certain types of lie.
