Yes, the crowded GOP field is laughable in many ways. There is a middle ground between a clown car and a coronation and I feel that we Democrats aren’t there yet. There will be General Elections after 2016 and our candidates in them would be advantaged if the voters’ first response wasn’t “Who’s she?” or “Who’s he?”

The two parties are held to different standards though. If a Republican runs once and loses, it’s “his turn” next time. If a Democrat runs once and loses, he’s a “loser” then and forever.
