ISTR someone (Huffington Post?) tried to track down people who actually attended one of those speeches by calling banking firms and asking “Did Hillary Clinton ever speak at one of your events? Can we speak to someone who was there?” and people who did attend said “who pays attention to the speeches at these events? We were chit chatting with our neighbors at the table” and finally they found someone who said “Yeah she talked about making more opportunities for women and minorities in the financial industry”

duh. They are “speaking fees”. It is influence peddling. No one gives a shit what she says. wink wink. They are just paying for access and influence.
