Of course:

1. We are entering Spring when temps get warmer and people, you know, DRIVE more.

2. Covid cases are down and restrictions are easing in some areas. As a result people are - GASP! - driving more.

3. Today’s gas prices are similar to pre-pandemic prices at the end of 2019.

4. POTUS has pretty much fuck all to do with the price of gas.

Uhm… Texas recently had a bit of a problem. Where is much oil refined in the US?
