When I had my first one (lo these many moons ago), I got a chuckle out of the doctor by actually asking him “when are we going to start?” - as he was putting the equipment away……

I got flagged for 1x/5years because they found a couple of benign polyps last time, so I’m due this spring. But due to covid they’re way behind schedule. At my last physical the doctor said, ‘we don’t do the finger thing anymore because it wasn’t very helpful’ and I thought, quite quite privately, “but I loved the finger thing.”
