Oh, you don’t understand, it’s only good when smaller govt believes the way they do, otherwise it’s all wrong. That’s why they maintain that that there needs to be a constitutional amendment on marriage, because only the Federal govt. can protect the rights. (unless it’s Obama, then it doesn’t count).

The other day, I was discussing trying to discuss the ACA with a wingnut, who tried to pull the ‘Romney care was at the STATE level, which is okay, but the ACA is at the FEDERAL level, which is tyranny’.

Clearly, the idea that requiring individuals to have health insurance is DESPOTIC TYRANNY!!! at the Federal level, but completely fine at the State level is nonsense, and of course he wouldn’t address that point.
