This story reads primarily to me about how there are Blue Dogs who want to vote with the Republicans, which is just showing what a wide spectrum of people get elected as Democrats… I really don’t see the part you talked about where the Blue Dogs were “done wrong” can you find me the correct part?

I suppose you could take it that way, but they do seem to feel shut out of the process within the caucus. Do you think all the Dems in the south bolting their party to join the Repubs mean that the Repubs in the south are more moderate? Is Sarah Palin’s support of allowing gay Repub groups participate in CPAC a sign of social moderation even among one of the fringier players of the party? How about Krauthammer, Lowry, and Kristol slapping down Beck recently? If there are signs of dissent on the right over the fringiness, I think that’s a good sign.
