I am constantly amazed how RWNJs can get their panties twisted up over fictional characters. Murphy Brown, Harry Potter, Diana Prince, Heimdall — you would think these are real people the way the conservatives rant about them.

Meanwhile, the social commentary underlying some superhero movies (X-Men, The Avengers, SHIELD and Hydra, etc.) flies right over their pea brains.

They got upset over Avatar as well, as the environmentalist natives were portrayed as heroes whereas the wealth-creating mining company was the villain.

And don’t forget the stink over Brokeback Mountain, for pushing a “gay agenda”
