Not wanting at ALL to get into a religious discussion here. lol All I know, from what I was taught and what I believe, you have until your last breath to ask for forgiveness of your sins. If you die without having the time to do so, you condemn your soul to hell. I did have one friend who commited suicide and got a Mass performed. My only hope is that maybe he had a few seconds before expiring and asked for forgiveness of his sins. This is just my opinion. And yes, it HAS kept me from offing myself at times.

so there is no punishment for sinning?
