Not all slopes are slippery DD. For example, we could decide that certain medical conditions would warrant a person being able to choose to end their lives or entitle one to assistance even. That is a long way from societal sanctioning it for transient emotional states or convenience or the other red herrings I’ve seen swimming by in this thread.

Who is the “we” you refer to?
At what point do the “we” decide that it’s not enough to allow a person to choose to end their lives, but decide it’s time to come up with a list of things that “we” would allow families or medical providers to make a decision a person’s life is not worth continuing and the “kind” thing to do is end it for them?

Didn’t we just recently have some congress-critters talking about how older Americans need to save the country’s money by just not worrying about getting treatment for conditions and instead, just going ahead and dying?
