I don’t hang out here for live reaction on the SOTU speech or anything similar. Made an exception for Obama’s Cairo speech only because it was early am, like now, and not a whole thread.

2 reasons: I like to watch the speech (or live event), preferably in the ‘real world’ with political friends, not simultaneously keep up with a rolling thread, and 2) it gets too hyperpartisan and the signal to noise ratio is bad.
I’ve found that to be true generally on every blog, not just here. In past years before I regged I peeked in after the fact at the running commentary on a SOTU speech here, and didn’t think it was for me.
