Well, he’s certainly not going to get the D or R nomination. That leaves only a 3d party run - and he’d be the richest to run since Perot.

It doesn’t mean he has a chance of winning (he doesn’t). It just goes to how he might possibly run (and I put those chances as slim).

Well then, I hope he becomes the darling of the right wing before he tries to split one side or the other. Whichever side he’s viewed as being on, that’s the side that loses. See: Ralph Nader, Ross Perot, John Anderson, et al.
