i missed the Al-Ghazali debate but if you like his work - have you read any Iqbal? a few centuries removed, but Iqbal, Gibran, and Al-Ghazali are top of my list for Islamic mysticism…

No, I haven’t read any Iqbal, but I have read some of Al-Ghazali’s shorter works and I’ve also read Gibran, though he was Christian, not Muslim (which doesn’t really matter at that level anyway ;)).
