One thing I like about the Czech Republic is not only the ability to buy a mobile phone independent of a contract, but that they’re ubiquitous in pawn shops here, and you can easily buy them online as well. The overwhelming majority of them are unlocked, so you just pop in your SIM and you’re good to go.

Cellphone service in the States, simply speaking, sucks, compared to China, Thailand, or probably the Czech Republic. It’s an example of the free market failing to deliver the services people need.
