It’s nice that Ivanka can spend time with her kids but she’s loaded. A lot of mothers can’t afford that luxury because politicians like Ivanka’s father and his party oppose living wages.

That’s the story that played in my mind when I saw that pic earlier of the young woman on the subway who had fallen asleep and dropped her pizza. I saw an exhausted young working mother who found just a few minutes of peace and couldn’t keep her eyes open. Pizza was her kid’s dinner because she had no time to cook and get chores done before having to get to her second job.
