now I’m sad

A favorite. These words in particular give me chills every time I hear them:
When I die let my ashes float down the Green River
Let my soul roll on up to the Rochester dam
I’ll be halfway to Heaven with Paradise waitin’
Just five miles away from wherever I am.
I still have not settled “final arrangements” with my daughter. She wants me buried beside her mother in Lubbock. I prefer cremation with the ashes scattered on Pikes Peak, and a memorial stone at the site in Lubbock. I guess it’s up to her, since I won’t be there to make a final decision and she will.
