Great show. Great acting. The kid who played Lord Blakeney (the name was a nod to “The Scarlet Pimpernel”) went on to play Octavian in the first season of “Rome”.

And some of the best music evah presented in a movie.

Hi Cato! I’ll second that. It’s one of my favorite movies - and the books were wonderful. Crowe worked for me as Jack Aubrey, but I had a little trouble with Paul Bettany as Maturin (who in the books is quite homely). Bettany is a little too handsome for the role.

(There’s talk about a sequel, but we’ll see.)
