In the discussion about cell phone photo locations without GPS, I have discovered that it can be really scarily accurate (tested geotagging on photos from my phone without GPS turned on). This is a public service announcement to those of you with smart phones to be aware of whether geotagging is turned on for your photos (Google makes it really easy to turn on and off) and whether you want that information out there.

Alternately, be aware of what’s in the EXIF data for photos that you post on the Internet. Windows makes it very easy to remove this data if you want to (right click on file —> properties —> details —> remove properties and personal information).

Metadata is automatically removed from any photos you upload to LGF.
