John Oliver on the Dubious Nature of Supreme Court Ethics

It seems to me that there has been a tremendous amount of social and cultural changes since the US stopped being a rural nation.

A lot of folks harsh on Obama for not being progressive enough.

But it seems to me that he had two important tasks. First to successfully lead our country. But second, also to destroy the argument that an Afro-American man could not be a national leader.

And I think that he successfully accomplished both for the majority of the US population. And still managed to make some excellent progress on good governance.

I think that Kamala Harris is facing an even more daunting challenge. There is no nationally agreed upon US template for the idea of a successful female National leader. I think that she is up to that tremendous challenge.

And I hope to give her the opportunity.

But we are in a diverse coalition. Others may have concerns, whether founded or unfounded. It seems to me that it is best to offer solid and convincing arguments for our position.
